American Horror Story Coven was the third project working with renowned Production Designer Mark Worthington. The design of the main residence was an exaggerated and extrapolated version of the Antebellum architectural style which emerged during the middle of the ninetieth century. Applied with the intent to create an environment that alluded to a sense of classic elegance and heightened sophistication, in order to create a tone of seriousness.
